About

I have a long history in the publishing and marketing industries. Upon graduating from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia with a BFA in illustration, I moved to an attic room in Upper Montclair, NJ and commuted into Manhattan each day. That first job, as a junior cover designer for Harper & Row (now HarperCollins), was an invaluable learning experience and led to my next job as a book cover art director at Addison-Wesley Trade Publishing in Reading, MA, just four years later.

In addition to maintaining my freelance business, I have been hired for various staff and contract positions including art director for the college division of Houghton Mifflin Publishing, Production Manager for Pearson Education, and most notably, Production Editor at Jones & Bartlett Publishing, where I learned the craft of proofreading and copy editing.

In the past few years, I’ve added content writing to my repertoire. I am a contributing writer of science-based content for the EBSCO research database annually. I have also written feature articles for Forsyth Woman magazine, ourbiggayborhood.com, and QNotes.

In my mid-century years I embrace my variety of experience, my attention to detail, and the ability to offer the highest quality in personal service. My clients are loyal and continue to choose me above others. I now present my business in its third and final iteration: Crone Communications. Hire experience. Higher quality.
