Design

I started out my career as a book cover designer for Harper&Row (which then became HarperCollins Publishing) in New York City, just two weeks after graduating college. We then used mechanical boards and rubylith and waxed the back of our type blocks. I worked my way up to hiring freelancers to design audio books before relocating to Addison-Wesley Publishing as their trade books art director of covers.

In my long history of designing since then, I’ve worked on book covers, interiors, logos, brochures, posters, special event tickets, direct mail pieces, catalogs, table tents, nametags, and much, much more.

I’ve come a long way from those truly hands-on days as computers were just entering workplaces (and often took up an entire room!). I am now fluent in  Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro. I am also experienced with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Let me know your graphic design needs and let’s make some magic happen!
